Yes,it was great to be able to share in this display of 'People Power' at Concord Beach. To stand in the bracing air of Canvey's sea-front, such a stark contrast to the stench of subterfuge and coercion wafting from C.P.B.C'S council chamber from their dealing with this closure. Good to hear there were folks from Benfleet there too. Canvey.s beaches and sea-side amenities must be preserved for the pleasure and benefit of everyone! KEEP THE PRESSURE ON!!

If you can get an e-petition online I would gladly sign and it would allow non-islanders to support the cause.

The Canvey Community Archive will be publishing a report on the Town Council Meeting which took place this week, about the fate of the pool, shortly. I know a lot of people were unable to get into the meeting but we managed to get someone in and he is currently writing up the article. As soon as he passes it to me I will put it on the archive and put a link through for everyone to read.

I have just been told there will be a protest regarding the pool in the town on Saturday. I do not have details as yet as I understand it is still being organised. If I find out any more I will let you know or if anyone else can tell us please make a comment
